Tuesday, April 20th, 2055: His goal at twenty was to win twenty games one year, pitch until he was thirty, win the league pennant and to make some money. Well, Stephen Cos did something even better -- the 36-year-old Cleveland Rumble Fish star has now won 200 games in his career. That put him in a very select group of pitchers.
He joined that exclusive club today at The Fish Bowl by whipping the Maine Guides 6-3, holding them to 4 hits in 8 innings while chalking up 8 strikeouts and no walks.
In the postgame interview, the modest Cos said, "It's special to win 200 games. You don't do it by yourself. You do it with good stuff and a good bullpen. You are only as good as the guys behind you. Years from now I might look back on it and give myself a little pat on the back."
In his career the 36-year-old Cos has accumulated a 200-116 won-lost mark and opposing clubs have hit .529 against him. |
 | Milwaukee Third Baseman Hurt
Tuesday, April 20th, 2055: The Milwaukee Choppers will be without the services of Okakura Kenzo for 5 weeks after an incident in a game against the San Francisco Bay Breakers. The 36-year-old third baseman was injured while throwing the ball and suffered shoulder tendinitis.
For the season Kenzo has produced 18 hits in 55 at-bats for a .327 average with 5 home runs and gotten on base at a .424 clip. |

Tuesday, April 20th, 2055: It was announced today in Saskatchewan that Storm starting pitcher George Bustos will be out 6 months. Bustos suffered a fractured elbow that occurred during a game against the Savannah Sand Gnats.
