Thursday, May 20th, 2055: John McCleery had to leave the Rebels game against New Orleans after suffering ulnar nerve irritation while throwing a pitch. He will be out of the lineup at least 3-4 months. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
So far this season, McCleery has put up these stats: 11 relief appearances, 4 saves, 10.1 IP, 9 strikeouts, and 1.74 ERA. His won-lost record is 0-3, and the opposition is hitting .238 against him. |

Thursday, May 20th, 2055: Several teams have surfaced as a possible trading partner with Milwaukee for David Pesce -- or so rumor has it. Sources inside the Choppers organization report that teams have inquired about making a deal for the 32-year-old closer. |
 | Memphis 2B Kantanen Will Miss 5 Weeks
Wednesday, May 19th, 2055: Whether he wants it or not, Zachary Kantanen of the Memphis Catfish will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The second baseman was hurt in today's Catfish-Black Bears game while colliding with a player at a base. Team officials announced after the game that Kantanen had suffered a knee sprain and would be out of action for 5 weeks.
Presently Kantanen is hitting .246 with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 20 times. |
