Monday, April 9th, 2057: The Bakersfield Tramplers were dealt a severe blow when Hubert Daw was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Timpson Salvoes. After the game, the team trainer reported Daw might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 34-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff. They indicated it would take Daw at least 11 months to heal.
This season Daw has earned 0 saves, tossed 11.1 innings, made 5 relief appearances, fanned 8 hitters and posted an ERA of 3.97. Teams are hitting .195 against him. |

Monday, April 9th, 2057: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Armando Zubiaga League, but last week Brandon Wilson of the Augusta Greenjackets reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Wilson rocked opposing pitching for a .556 average (15-27), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award.

Monday, April 9th, 2057: At the age of 27, Anthony Lewis might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Tulsa right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .444 batting average. For his efforts Lewis collected the Felix Harless League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 5 home runs and 13 RBIs last week in 7 games.
